Remembering Waco, 10 Years Later
by MG William A. Flatt
Ten years has gone by since the massacre at the Branch Davidian church in Waco, Texas. I look back on that time as my awakening as a Patriot, but also as the opening shots in a very quiet war. This war continues to this day, and every time you turn on your TV set or radio, every time you open a newsmagazine or daily paper, every time you listen to someone who repeats what they heard on CNN, FOX, or "CbsAbcNbc"; you are being fired upon with the most sophisticated weapon known to mankind: propaganda.
Even now after ten years of hindsight, Americans either have conveniently forgotten Waco or they have set it aside to focus on the things that are presented to them by the mass-media masters of deception. We who refer to ourselves as patriots never truly forget, though at times we too tend to put that event on the back burner. We shouldn't.
Waco was not just a defining moment for an entire movement, for some of us it was a turning point in our lives. For me, I began to realize that tax protesters, anti-globalization activists, opponents of the UN, Birchers, 3rd party activists, immigration reformers, and everyone else in our widespread patriotic cause are all missing the point. On April 19, 1993 the federal government sent a loud and clear message to its citizens: "You are the enemy and we will murder you whenever we choose".
I could editorialize forever on the subject of Waco. I won't because so many others have. If you were too young to remember, or did not pay attention when it happened, I will offer you the very best book on the subject, but it is not light reading: "No More Wacos" by David Kopel and Paul Blackman is the definitive book on the subject. You can obtain a copy of the book by visiting this website [http://www.davekopel.org/Waco.htm] and checking out the links. Kopel & Blackman did what I wanted to do in 1994, and that was a thorough and meticulous investigation into the actions of federal law-enforcement at Waco, from several months before the siege through the aftermath and subsequent cover-up.
There have been at least five excellent video documentaries that chronicle this tragic affair from the first assault to the present day. We know a lot about the truth of what happened there, and we owe it to our posterity, to never let it happen again; to teach our children. Those videos are, in chronological order of release:
·
Day 51: The True Story of Waco, by Ron Cole
·
Wake Up or Waco, by Alex Jones (Infowars.com Productions)
·
Waco: Rules of Engagement, by William Gazecki and Michael McNulty (COPS Productions)
·
Waco: A New Revelation, by Rick Van Vleet and Michael McNulty (MGA Films)
·
The F.L.I.R. Project, by Michael McNulty (COPS Productions)
The last three were the magnum opus of Michael McNulty, who was the driving force behind this documentary trilogy investigating the events at Waco. He invested over 1 million dollars of his own money to this eight-year project, and the story is not complete yet. The federal government, in spite of the exhaustive investigation of Waco by private citizens, still refuses to cooperate or acknowledge the truth. This, in spite of overwhelming evidence that:
· The Federal government never intended for any of the Davidians to survive, even before their assault on 28 February 1993. The decision to assault the church rather than arrest David Koresh (aka Vernon Howell) came from Washington. The decision to murder the Davidians was made to cover up a much more heinous crime against the whole American people. A crime so evil that Congressman Gonzales of Texas said in committee; "If the American people knew the whole truth about Waco, there'd be a revolution overnight". This crime may be the result of the activities of two computer experts within the Davidian congregation, who according to Ron Cole, may have stumbled onto information so dangerous that it may be the reason why the Davidians were targeted for the assault.
· Consequently, The Davidians were never afforded an opportunity to come out. Anyone that attempted to leave became a target for four sets of snipers, one of which was Lon Horiuchi, of Ruby Ridge infamy. He was, if you remember, the sniper that shot Vicki Weaver in the head while she was holding her infant daughter, acting under "shoot to kill" orders issued from FBI HQ.
· The fire at Waco was started by the federals using pyrotechnic "ferret" grenades, not by a group whose peculiar Christian theology forbade suicide as an unforgivable sin.
· The federal government, at the highest levels, had an in-place plan to cover up the truth from the day that the assault began and went wrong.
· Two of the four agents that died in the initial raid were killed by "friendly fire"; their work background demonstrates that they inadvertently were made privy to information they were not intended to receive, and that they themselves may not have been aware of the forbidden information for which they died.
· Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) video recorded by the government, and later obtained by citizens investigating Waco, shows soldiers in IR-concealing camouflage firing machine guns in full-auto and firing grenades into the church at the back door and other escape points where the tanks did not collapse the walls.
· The Waco scandal may have in fact been orchestrated from the White House, based on anecdotal information shared by the people who personally knew White House counsel Vince Foster. Was he assassinated to prevent him from spilling the truth?
· Why were the US military and the CIA participating at Waco, and why were foreign advisers on-scene assisting the federals up to and on April 19, 1993?
These and other pertinent facts still are not being made available to the American public and may also explain why other unanswered questions remain about the bombing of the Murrah federal building, which (not coincidentally) was the repository of physical evidence from the Waco massacre.
These are not the paranoid conspiracy theories of a lunatic fringe. My wife was fully convinced that the Oklahoma City bombing was perpetrated by criminals within government to "shut down" the runaway growth of the patriot movement, even though McVeigh and Nichols were not members of any militia and often asked to leave patriot-movement meetings and seminars. My wife was convinced of this long before she even met me; I did not have to convince her of anything. She already knew. I meet little old ladies in supermarkets and grocery stores who know what's going on. They know about the plan for globalism (NWO) and the dismantling of American freedoms. Many people know, but are either too scared or too apathetic to do anything about it.
Is there a connection between Waco, McVeigh, 9/11 and Patriot Acts 1 & 2? I suspect that there is, and that such a connection will be discovered so late in the future as to be meaningless toward motivating the American people to throw off the tyrants who have inflicted these heinous crimes upon this nation.
This is what the perpetrators are counting on...already the people have largely forgotten about Waco. Only the most hardcore patriots and other concerned citizens continue to press for the answers to which we are entitled. This isn't surprising, since even the Branch Davidian survivors have moved on with their lives and put this event behind them. Yet, we cannot afford to forget what happened on this day, or how it happened, or who did it. We must never forget this date, or any of the meaning attached to it, or we will see history repeat itself.
Texas may "Remember the Alamo", but America must always "Remember Waco". If the rule of law under the Constitution is to survive, we must never forget. We must remember Waco, Ruby Ridge, Oklahoma City, 9/11, and the things yet to come. Their plan is to suspend the Constitution and take away all your Rights. If you forget the past, how will you be able to handle the future?
